Customized Bouquet Handle Treatments

Yes, the flowers in your bouquet are going to be luscious and will be arranged by your florist into the quintessential bridal accessory, but why stop there? As a florist, I love to treat the flowers all the way from the top of their blooms to the bottom of their stems with a customized, bouquet handle treatment.

The bouquet handle is a wonderful way to tie in elements of your décor, add personality, or an item with sentimental value. Compliment the rest of your design scheme with a color coordinated, French satin ribbon finished in French knots. When you think "customized" the first thing that probably comes to mind is bling and sparkle. Achieve the perfect amount of glitz with rhinestone brooches and pins. To have your bouquet handle reflect your personality think about using specialty buttons, or initial charms. Another way brides can make their bouquet handles not only beautiful, but meaningful, is by using it to display family heirlooms. This can be anything from photos of loved ones in small, delicate frames to your grandmother's lace handkerchief.

Have fun, but be careful not to overembellish. You do not want your treatment to overwhelm the flowers, or be difficult for you and your bridesmaids to grip.
