The fortune of finding work that you love is rare, but finding true love at work is rarer still.  Jean Marie Campbell and Dr. Marshall T. Morgan are just that lucky.  In 1995, Jean’s firm was chosen to provide billing and accounts receivable management services for the faculty of UCLA’s Department of Emergency Medicine, under the direction of Dr. Morgan.  By the time Christmas Day, 2002 arrived, they couldn’t argue with what was obviously a strong, loving partnership; and Marshall proposed to Jean, during a Christmas celebration at home, in the presence of family and close friends.

They set the date for August, 24th, 2003, and opted for a theme consisting of the natural treasures of the seaside, sunshine, and sunset, conducive to a “celebration of life.”  The couple was committed to making the entire weekend reflect their spirit, style and personalities.  This meant ease and simplicity, along with the desire to please and celebrate their life together.

The rehearsal dinner was an informal clambake, provided by Shutters On The Beach, in Santa Monica, California.  With a live jazz band providing the soundtrack, 35 guests enjoyed the beach, ocean-view, and plenty of festive food and drinks.  The following afternoon, 180 guests reveled in the ballroom within the Casa Del Mar Hotel, also located in Santa Monica.  Jean and Marshall did not feel limited by conventional choices, and instead flaunted their freedom to express their individuality through song, scripture and verse.  Tradition was revamped for the ceremony, including a religious ceremony with children, grandchildren, and other loved ones participating in the wedding, and Marshall dancing with his daughter, Courtney, for the “Father/Daughter Dance.”   The bride wore a non-traditional, but supremely elegant and unique designer gown topped by a custom – made shawl.  Through the course of the entire event (pre-ceremony through reception), seven different musical venues performed---from classical and jazz, to swing and steel drum bands.  Jean and Marshall chose “Something to Talk About” for their first dance at the reception, a song-title that certainly fits the event and it’s hosts!

Afterwards, Jean and Marshall whisked themselves off to Hanalei Bay, Kauai, Hawaii, where they rented a private home for eight days and nights.  The newlyweds’ family and friends have been given something to talk about for a long time to come!
