While attending the college graduation party of her next-door neighbor, Paige Hogan caught eyes with his roommate, Conor Cunnane. They each had significant others at the time, but seven years later when they were both single, Conor asked Paige on a date in New York City. “The rest is history!” she smiles.

Two years later, Conor proposed on the beach in Montauk while visiting Paige’s family home and even surprised her by having two of her best friends there to celebrate. “It was so special to be there with everyone we love in one of my favorite places,” Paige adds.

When choosing where to say “I do,” Paige and Conor knew they also wanted their wedding day to take place somewhere special to them. “Grey Oaks is where we spent most of our time together and had some of our favorite memories,” shares the bride of the country club in Naples, Florida, where Paige’s family has lived for over a decade, where the couple lived together for months with Paige’s family during Covid, and where the couple spends every holiday with their families.

On a warm fall day, 210 loved ones found their seats on the manicured lawn by the water. A string trio, as well as a harpist and pianist, played instrumental versions of the pair’s favorite modern songs for the alfresco ceremony showcasing a wood-plank aisle lined with vanilla-toned florals and tropical greenery.

Tuxedo-clad groomsmen and bridesmaids wearing varying dresses in shades of soft blue and sage entered to“Roses” by The Chainsmokers, and “our nephew came down in his custom Mercedes that says ‘Eat Dust’ on the back license – a highlight for sure!” remembers Paige of the moment.

The bride was gorgeous in an elegant strapless Carolina Herrera gown featuring floral embroidery from Mark Ingram Atelier and carried a bouquet of calla lilies down the aisle to “I Like Me Better” by Lauv.

At last, she met her groom in front of a stunning arch comprised of fresh greenery and lush ivory blooms for the heartfelt vow exchange, which included an Irish blessing to honor the groom’s family. Once Paige and Conor were pronounced husband and wife, friends and family tossed flower petals in celebration of the new Mr. and Mrs.

“I wanted our wedding to have a clean, fun, modern elegance vibe with a hint of tropical Florida.”

Guests enjoyed a lively cocktail hour before finding their table assignments on a white-and-acrylic display spotlighting tropical greenery and surrounding arrangements of orchids and calla lilies – the bride’s favorite flowers.

“I wanted our wedding to have a clean, fun, modern elegance vibe with a hint of tropical Florida,” describes the bride of her vision. Thus, she worked with her wedding planner to incorporate a number of details that would make the reception space look visually stunning, yet feel more like a fun restaurant than a ballroom.

Long tables were surrounded by upholstered dining chairs and decorated with either textural white or soft green linens, as well as high and low single-bloom arrangements of calla lilies, roses, tulips, hydrangeas, ranunculuses, and additional mixed blooms in ivory tones.

For the unique, restaurant-style décor, booth seating was incorporated at six tables and were further adorned with patterned pillows, verdure, and statement arch floor lamps over the centerpieces. “All the guests loved these seats!” affirms Paige.

A custom martini bar, which included the pair’s monogram carved in wood, featured a monogrammed ice luge for perfectly chilled vodka or gin. To honor their families once again, guests were invited to try four signature martinis – each of which was named after the couple’s parents and highlighted their preferred martini order – and they were also given the option to “make your own martini” by selecting their desired liquor, mixer, and garnish. “They were the biggest hit of the night!” the bride confirms.

The couple made sure to focus their efforts – and spending limit – on the parts of the wedding “that would make the party the most fun,” shares Paige. For a fun nod to the parents of the groom who immigrated from Ireland at 18 years old, as well as over 50 gusts who traveled from Ireland for the big day, an Irish-themed speakeasy dubbed “Cunnane’s Pub” was hidden behind white drapes and surprised those who entered with Irish coffees and Guinness on tap. “As you can imagine, it was hard to get many of them to leave that room once they discovered it,” laughs the bride.

After the band finished their set, the doors opened to another surprise: a disco-themed after-party featuring LED robots on stilts and ladies dressed as disco balls, along with ‘70s-style costume accessories, wigs, and more for guests to don. A DJ performed behind a booth with a “Club Cunnane” neon sign, and a saxophonist and percussionist added a live-music element to the festivities.

Friends and family filled the light-up dance floor, which was kept full until the early hours of the morning. As loved ones departed, they filled take-home bags with candy-bar selections that honored Conor’s love of sweets. “I loved every minute of it!” muses the bride of the absolutely perfect day.
