The Adorable New Way to Involve Kids in the Wedding

Forget flower girls and ring bearers: This is the cutest job for kids.

A charming alternative to having your flower girls toss petals or ring bearers carry the ring is to ask one or two kids to carry a hand-painted sign down the aisle to announce your arrival.

If you have a few adorable kids in your family, chances are you've already selected your flower girl and ring bearer. But if you have a bevy of little ones you'd like to include in your ceremony, it can be tough to figure out what roles they can each play. Older kids may enjoy handing out programs or serving as junior bridesmaids and groomsmen, but these types of jobs may be overwhelming for the younger set.

A charming alternative is to ask one or two kids to carry a hand-painted sign down the aisle to announce your arrival. Perfect for brides and grooms who have children of their own, a bridesmaid can pull an infant down the aisle in a wagon outfitted with a sign reading, "Here comes my Mommy," or, older kids can carry a piece of burlap painted with a message for the groom. Feel free to get creative: We love the young gentleman who warned his uncle, "Last chance to run Uncle Stanley!"

Kids will feel important, and guests will be delighted! Get inspired by the lovely little ones below.
