Akeshi Akinseye, founder of Kesh Events, styled opulent and daring décor for her own design workshop, The Kesh Experience. Desiring an aesthetic to match the sophisticated hotel venue, the expert designer decided to incorporate a regal scheme of purples, pinks, and metallics in varying hues. The space featured a long king’s table displaying a textured linen with intricate embellishments. The tablescape brimmed with cascading florals in bright, feminine tones, held up in tall, gilt vessels and also laid across lower arrangements surrounded floating votives.
Each place setting featured a delicate ivory-and-gold charger plate topped with a purple dinner menu showcasing vine designs and a gilt napkin displaying a three-dimensional faux flower. Small, circular name card holders showcased the same purple-and-gold tones as well as custom monograms. The table was encircled with chairs featuring loose-knit chair covers with floral embellishments.
The model bride donned two different gowns for the event – both from Dimitra's Bridal Couture. The first dress included an illusion neckline and sleeves with fabric floral appliqués, a sweetheart neckline, and multiple layers of a textured skirt. The second ensemble boasted thin straps, a deep V-neckline, a flowing skirt, and geometric designs throughout the frock. The model also wore bold bridal makeup – dark red lips and smoky eyes – as well as dangling crystal earrings and a regal coiffure in the form of a grand, high-bun hairstyle. From the photographer about the event, which offers wedding inspiration: “With rich colors and textures in the space that Kesh Designs and students created, the shoot was an exercise in using those elements that were in the surroundings. They created light and shadow, textured walls as backdrops, and curtains to frame a gorgeous model at a fantasy table, all expressed with the opulence of the shoot.”
