Before wedding planning begins, the impending celebration must first begin with a special proposal and an engagement ring. Someone has to agree and say "yes" to the ever-popular and sacred question of “Will you marry me?” However, there’s one other important proposal that sets the tone for the nuptials, and that would be the proposal to your bridesmaids, asking your favorite group of people if they’ll do the honor of standing by your side on the big day.
As spring generally kicks off the wedding season in many bustling cities, New Orleans takes a different approach when it comes to the natural beauty that surrounds any moment. In this garden-inspired event designed by Victoria A. Roberts of VAR Events at the historic Elms Mansion right in the heart of the Garden District, a beautiful brunch took place where the bride-to-be asked an essential question to her best group of gals.
From the beautiful fashion by Fashion Nova and accessories by Seventh Rose Bridal Couture to the florals by Magnolia West and the décor by Love Good Rentals and Firefly Ambiance, this brunch – along with a gorgeous photoshoot by Clint Blane – allowed the bride to get a glimpse into how she intends to move forward to the big day.
Traditionally, this type of interaction would be done through an invitation or maybe even with a phone call; however, "for this bride, we showcased her love for New Orleans and the natural art of the Garden District to display an alternative and creative way to pop the question to your future bridesmaids," shares Victoria A. Roberts of VAR Events of the inspirational décor that would also work well for any wedding event of a similar theme.
Exuding nothing but positivity throughout the entire event, lavender sage was incorporated in all of the bundles placed at each guest's place setting to keep the consistency of love and good vibes for the series of events to come. In lieu of traditional place cards, the brunch table showcased seating tags that read “Will You Bloom Into Mrs. with Me?” that were tied to the sage bundles that also acted as favors.
"When the wheels start turning about the wonderful day that you say 'I do,' being able to bring your friends along on the journey is such an honor. As a true reflection of who you are, having the people who were there before this milestone is beautiful," smiles Victoria. "What better way to reveal your proposition than to shower them with a meaningful and memorable event that will kick off the big event to come?"
