Summer is one of the most popular wedding seasons; however, depending on where you're saying "I do," the warm weather that comes with the season can affect what type of dress you can don, how you should do your hair, and of course, what makeup style you're able to wear. Tropical locations with humid conditions may make your hair frizzy and your makeup appear wet, while any hot-weather climate – dry, humid, or anywhere in between – can cause you to sweat off most of your makeup.
Since you'll want to look fresh and well-rested on your summer wedding day, there are things to consider when planning your wedding-day makeup. Talk to your makeup artist during your makeup trial to ensure you're on the same page with products that are known for keeping well in warm weather, and feel free to offer suggestions if you have a particular brand you know and love.
Most brides and even bridesmaids get their makeup done professionally for the big day, but what about guests who may be doing their own makeup and want to make sure they look refreshed even in the warmest of temperatures? To offer some assistance, we asked Chanel Temple, global makeup artist for luxury brand Hourglass, to share her expert advice for summer brides and guests attending warm-weather nuptials.

"One of the best things I can advise is to pick a few key products that will work best in warmer temperatures. I love doing a bold lip and a very soft eye for summer weddings. This allows you to make a statement without putting too much makeup on, and a bold lip can easily be touched up throughout the day."
"For complexion, make sure you use a waterproof foundation paired with a long-lasting primer. Hourglass’ Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick and Veil Mineral Primer are the perfect duo to help keep your makeup from breaking up or sweating off.
"I especially love using a highlighter on brides and wedding guests in the summer. I feel that it settles nicely on the skin when it’s warm out and ends up looking really beautiful and radiant. Hourglass' Vanish Flash Highlighting Stick adds an instant flash of light to the skin, great for every special occasion."
"It’s best to stay away from touching up with powder throughout the evening, as your makeup can start to look cakey. Embrace the heat and glow on!"
