Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello (otherwise known as two of Hollywood's sexiest stars) finally walked down the aisle on Sunday! Their opulent celebration was held at The Breakers, a luxury resort in Palm Beach, Florida, planned by Mindy Weiss, and featured flowers, celebrity guests, and of course, a stunning bridal gown! But did you expect anything less from the red carpet queen?
The gown was designed by Zuhair Murad and featured a strapless sweetheart neckline and sheath skirt, topped with a gorgeous matching ball gown overskirt that gave the dress a princess silhouette. Both pieces were adorned with embroidery, pearls, and sequins. The bridal gown reportedly required a team of 32 people to create!
Overskirts were all over the runway this season, and it's easy to see why. The style allows brides to show off a more classic, traditional style for the ceremony; then, they can remove the skirt for a modern, dance-ready dress for the reception! Even better, the overskirt doesn't completely cover the underskirt, so you can still see the beautiful details of both pieces.
The gowns below were all shown in designers' Fall 2016 collections at bridal fashion week, and offer a similar style to Vergara's sexy-yet-sophisticated gown she wore for her wedding at The Breakers.
