Model Josephine Skriver & Singer Alex DeLeon Are Engaged!

Engagement season is in full swing! Victoria’s Secret model Josephine Skriver is engaged to singer-songwriter Alex DeLeon, who performs under the name Bohnes. Fans of pop punk may recognize Alex from his days as the front man of The Cab, a band best known in the late 2000s for collaborating with (and opening for) Panic! At the Disco and Fall Out Boy, as well as touring with Maroon 5 in 2012 before ultimately going on hiatus in 2014. Alex and Josephine started dating in 2013… could Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo have facilitated the introduction?

The model shared both photos and details of the dreamy proposal. The couple went to Finland to fulfill Josephine’s dreams of seeing the Northern Lights. Timing was key – the engagement was on the 23rd, which is the bride-to-be’s lucky number, and was also the same day that Bohnes released a song written about his beloved. Fittingly, the tune is titled “Aurora Borealis”. After enjoying a bonfire and hot chocolate on the middle of the frozen lake, Alex turned to Josephine and asked her to marry him. 

Dressed in coordinated orange and black winter outfits, the lovebirds posed in front of the picturesque Northern Lights, blissful from the sights and their new engagement. We can only imagine the beauty and romance that will be featured at their wedding. They definitely have a strong candidate for their first dance song!

Alex shared news of the engagement on his own Instagram account as well, posting a lovely black-and-white photograph of Josephine partially covering her face in bed, giving us a fantastic view of the ring. The stunning emerald-cut diamond is set in a plain band, but framed with a pavé split shank for a unique detail. 

Among the celebrities congratulating the couple on their engagement are fellow models Kendall Jenner, Gigi and Bella Hadid, model/actress Emily Ratajkowski, singer Dua Lipa, actress/singer Hailee Steinfeld, host Keltie Knight, and even Doug the Pug! We can’t wait to see who will be in attendance at the wedding.
