In honor of the Saved by the Bell reunion, we're sharing a reunion of our own! Two of the biggest stars of the series were featured in the pages of Inside Weddings – and we have all the details. Mark-Paul Gosselaar, who plays Zack Morris, featured in the Spring 2013 issue, and Mario Lopez – who plays A.C. Slater – was featured in the Summer 2013 issue of Inside Weddings magazine (subscribe here!). Just as their characters are very different, their weddings were too!
Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Catriona McGinn's wedding featured a neutral, rustic-elegant design. The pair wed in an outdoor celebration under the stars with 135 guests in attendance. They selected a winery venue near Santa Barbara, California, and chose a classic color palette of neutral tones accented with fresh herbs and lavender.
Choosing to write their own vows, the result was quite sentimental. “Mark-Paul’s vows made me cry, as well as the rest of the congregation,” confides the bride. Following the vow exchange, loved ones enjoyed a family-style dinner service at guest tables displaying roses, herbs, hydrangeas, lavender, and jasmine vine with views of the rolling hills. Mark-Paul's advice for other grooms? Be as supportive as possible. “Realize this is a big deal and a big day,” he adds.
Mario Lopez and Courtney Mazza's wedding was a glamorous destination celebration in Punta Mita, Mexico. With a guest list of 200, the pair made sure to include their Catholic faith and have a memorable party. “I wanted to make sure everyone ate enough, drank enough, and danced enough!” affirms the groom.
They selected décor reminiscent of a winter wonderland for the ocean-view ceremony, had lively mariachi music filling the air as their guests traversed to a beachside reception area, and enjoyed tasty fare, sweets, and dancing all night long – even having a limbo battle with guests including Eva Longoria. The result? A celebration the couple will never forget! “I wouldn’t change a thing!” Mario confirms.
