SNL Comedian Aidy Bryant Shares Her Engagement Story

Some engagement stories are elaborate productions, requiring months of planning; others are sentimental and romantic, perhaps reflecting back on a first date. And then there are the proposals where you can’t help but laugh when you look back, which tend to be the best at reflecting who a couple is.

That’s the case for Aidy Bryant, star of Saturday Night Live. Though she’s been engaged to comedy writer Conner O’Malley for several months, the low-key actress has kept the news out of the public eye until appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers. After nine years together, the couple is naturally very comfortable around one other, so Conner had to act quickly for an at-home proposal that didn’t involve sweatpants.
