Sophie Turner & Joe Jonas on Their Las Vegas Wedding

The two stars both discussed how they felt about Diplo sharing their ceremony online.

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas surprised their fans last month when they got married in a Las Vegas chapel following the Billboard Music Awards. At the time, there was speculation on whether this meant their previously reported plans for a formal wedding in France was still in the works. It appears that this was the couple’s way to make the legal part of their marriage more fun, rather than doing a simple courthouse wedding stateside before heading to Europe this summer. 

In fact, it’s possible that we would not have even known that the two tied the knot if it wasn’t for the popular DJ Diplo. Most people found out about the surprise nuptials because he went on Instagram Live and streamed the entire ceremony on his account. Both Joe and Sophie indicate in separate interviews that they did not know he was going to do that. Luckily, they seemed to laugh it off, though the newlyweds are now being a bit more coy with their future plans. However, Sophie does reveal that talk show host Graham Norton was surprisingly close with his guess of “15th of July in France, just outside of Montpellier.” It looks like we won’t have to wait much longer!
