Ballerina-Inspired Gowns by Francesca Miranda Spring 2019
This season Francesca Miranda payed homage to ballerinas. Their grace and poise was the inspiration behind her Spring 2019 collection, but there was one ballerina that Miranda was particularly inspired by: her mother Gloria Miranda and the memory of her performing in the theaters of New York City.
The whimsical collection had plenty of ballerina references but with a chic and sophisticated hand, case in point, a strapless pleated tulle ball gown with a removable soft pleated tutu tulle miniskirt, which added drama and volume. Miranda showed off her craftsmanship with a basket-weave organza gown adorned with a hand-embroidered bodice of silk thread and Swarovski crystals, as well as a fit-and-flare gown with an illusion neckline and hand-embroidered 3D floral tulle over lace. Overall, Miranda delivered an utterly romantic bridal collection that her customers have come to expect of her. See all of the dresses in the slideshow above!
