Circus-Inspired Gowns from Jenny Packham 2018 Bridal Collection
Designer Jenny Packham debuted her newest bridal collection for 2018 at Bridal Fashion Week in New York City. “The novel ‘Falling’ tells the story of a man’s fatal attraction to a circus acrobat, Clara the Swallow,” reveals the design house. “The character of Clara, her exotic beauty, her courage, and her love of freedom inspired this season’s collection.” Per this offbeat and playful motif, gowns were designed with silhouettes and fabrics the complemented the concept of a vintage carnival. “Paying homage to an otherworldly romance; celestial trailing chiffon, flock tulle ruffles, bonded floral lace, and oversized satin bows are juxtaposed with tailored cropped jackets, embellished bodies, and sculptured corsetry,” says the design house.
Brides who are seeking a unique and bold look for their wedding day will swoon over the numerous new styles in this collection. Consider “Cherish,” a lace cocktail-length dress with feminine sleeves; “Precious,” an embellished chiffon gown with a plunging neckline and a flowing skirt; or even “Adorn,” a fiery scarlet-hued ensemble with tulle ruffles, an illusion bodice, and a large silk bow at the waist.
