Discover Chic Cutouts and Color by Austin Scarlett Fall 2016
After competing on the first season of Project Runway, Austin Scarlett has built a classically elegant, yet modern, bridal line. His fall 2016 collection features clean lines and fabrics, including silks and satins. Appliqués, a soft and pretty shade of pink, unique backs, and mod cutouts elevate the designs to complement a strong, fashion-forward bride.
Perhaps the most striking aspect of the collection is the use of a lovely shade of rose. The strapless "Trillium" gown boasts the bold color, as well as a beautifully gathered cluster of ruffled fabric on the back, and the stunning "Mayfair" ball gown features a skirt adorned with handpainted pink flowers. Cutouts along the sides and back of a few gowns allow for the perfect amount of sexiness. A bolero top with an open bow back tops trumpet skirts to form two looks: "Promenade" in silk faille and "Iris," which features beading on the bolero. The twisted back straps and midriff cutouts of "Eden" create a modern, sensual design. The mermaid style "Century" rounds out the collection, with organza petals, crystals, and lace adorning the skirt and sheer off-the-shoulder straps.
