Dreamy Gowns Sparked by C.S. Lewis from Kelly Faetanini Fall 2016
Kelly Faetanini goes through the wardrobe and into the mind of author C.S. Lewis for a fantasy-themed fall 2016 bridal collection. The designs seek to exude a feeling of mystery and the supernatural with forest motifs. Fairy-tale details, including rose and champagne hues, glistening crystals, and floating lace, bring the dreamy inspiration to life.
"Winter's frost" dusts many of the gowns, in the form of ice crystals glistening atop patterned appliqués, as on the "Helen" mermaid dress with a blush skirt and the "Polly" fit-and-flare gown, which features appliqués on the shoulders that resemble fallen snow. A jeweled belt inspired by leaves and vines provides the finishing touch to the soft "Tirian" ball gown. The "Aslan" ball gown is topped with a sprinkling of lace, while layers of pink ruffles peek out of the "Lucy" mermaid skirt. Discover the entire collection in the slideshow above!
