Q: What was the inspiration behind your latest collection?
A: Basically, I want to honor monumental women. Women who have been icons to other women throughout history.
Q: What can brides expect to see from the spring 2017 collection?
A: I never abandon my hand-embroidered gowns, it's my essence, so they will see that and I am still loving the detachable skirts! But wait for the surprises!!
Q: Who is the Francesca Miranda bride?
A: Feminine, authentic, and very much in love!
Q: How will the spring 2017 collection differ from the fall 2016 collection?
A: In my last collection, I focused on latin flair and the fashion-forward bride. For SS17, my focus is more on the monumental woman, her romance and exquisiteness.
Q: Which is your favorite dress from the latest collection and why?
A: I love Agata. I love the combination of the embroidered tulle and the fringe. It is a perfect balance between a modern and a classic bride.
Q: What advice do you have for brides buying gowns for their wedding?
A: Try as many silhouettes as possible. It is the best way to know what you love and what you don't. Sometimes the silhouette you think would fit you best, or you would like, is not necessarily the most appropriate one for you. Don't discard anything until you try them all.
Q: What should brides keep in mind when deciding on a silhouette, neckline, etc.?
A: What fits you best, what you feel comfortable in, and what makes your eyes shine!
Q: What are your trend predictions for bridal fashion in 2017 and beyond?
A: I think every day brides are taking more risks. I love the use of color! Hints of color... brides who dare to be different, but I also love a classic bride. Nowadays, like in fashion, you can wear whatever you want, it is more personalized. You can find a dress that expresses your personality and I think that is what the bridal world is going to move towards in the future.
