Opulent, Statement Styles from Peter Langner Spring 2018
To honor his 25 years in bridal couture, Peter Langner made a new collection for Bridal Fashion Week that both looked back on the past and towards the future. At his atelier in Milan, Italy, attention to detail is paramount, with the staff even creating their own sequins. It is at the Italian atelier where each ensemble is meticulously designed, sewn, and hand beaded using high-quality fabrics from Italy and France.
The designer refers to his style as “minimalist opulence,” which is evident in the latest spring 2018 collection, which features couture looks while still being wearable for real-life brides. Several of the ball gowns feature pockets, to the delight of brides who want to maintain a level of practicality on their wedding day. For those who want a different look between the ceremony and reception, without having to buy a whole new outfit, there are gowns that pair with a variety of accessories, such as a stole, cape, and gloves.
