Spring-Inspired from Sachin & Babi Spring/Summer 2018
Drawn on the notion of spring as a cycle of renewal, design house Sachin & Babi premiered a spring/summer 2018 bridal collection at Bridal Fashion Week, complete with 14 new gowns. Exploring the idea that a wedding represents a new chapter in a person’s life, Sachin & Babi “started with images depicting the archetypal Tree of Life and studied its imagery while weighing its larger themes of rebirth.” Aptly, the collection was named Spring Awakening. “We chose luxurious fabrics and let them drape themselves, allowing their natural shape to dictate the silhouettes. We played with a mix of traditional and contemporary silhouettes, placing refined coat dresses and elegant pantsuits alongside our gowns, staying true to our love of texture and embroidery,” says the design house.
Brides will find a variety of unique ensembles amongst the collection, including coat-dresses and mini-dress, along with more traditional floor-length gowns. Each piece sports a dynamic silhouette, such as a plunging neckline, intricate sleeve design, and even a slight hint of color. See these beautiful gowns and more in the slideshow above.
