Vera Wang Fall 2017 Featuring Gowns in the Style of Young Love
Bridal fashion icon Vera Wang debuted her new fall 2017 collection of wedding gowns at New York Bridal Fashion Week. The new silhouettes are a slight departure from the classic dresses many brides associate with the brand. The designs evoke a whimsical, chaotic vibe with long, draped sleeves extending over the hands completely. Each gown feels like a play on the frocks of the Victorian age with updated vintage motifs. It’s as if she took a traditional fairy tale and flipped it on its head. Her show notes are two simple words: “Young Love.”
In this striking new collection, women can find a variety of scintillating styles, including “Viviana,” a light ivory gown with a plunging neckline and draped skirt, “Felisa,” a French tulle A-line dress featuring off-the-shoulder sleeves, and “Juliette,” a macramé lace ball gown with handpainted lace and button accents.
