See the latest collection that's "a celebration of contemporaneity, understood as multiple, simultaneous perspectives on art and love'" from Francesca Miranda.
Known for her unexpected silhouettes and intricate fabrics and materials, Latin-American designer Francesca Miranda showed her Fall 2023 bridal collection at this season's New York Bridal Market Fashion Week. The striking collection of nine standout gowns featuring both modern and traditional details will be loved by an array of stylish brides.
"This collection is a celebration of contemporaneity, understood as multiple, simultaneous perspectives on art and love," the designer shares. "Though distant enough from each other as to cater to many different brides, the entire round up manages to speak the same love language."
The carefully curated collection of gowns features double-faced, hand-embroidered tulles, silk taffetas, guipure laces, and embellished organzas, as well hand-painted Japanese pearls. To ensure versatility – a signature Francesca Miranda design element – many of the wedding dresses transform with couture add-ons, including removable veils, tails, sleeves, and gloves for fun and functional designs.
Classic brides will love "Dariela" – a high-neck, long-sleeve column gown in French guipure lace with an open back and high turtle neck , as well as a tulle overskirt, "Greta" – a strapless, voluminous ball gown with a full skirt that can be made solid or embroidered, "Lulit" – a strapless column gown with an overskirt in brocade tulle and removable full-length gloves, and "Rubina" a scoop-neck ball gown with hand-embroidered flower appliqué details on a silk organza waistline.
Modern brides will adore "Etta" – a sheath in hand-embroidered flower appliqué tulle with a hood that can be worn over the head or down the back, "Jumana" – a trumpet gown of hand-embroidered tulle featuring a draped V-neck bodice and cape-style silk taffeta train, and "Marit" – a strapless fit-and-flare dress in hand-embroidered lace with removable off-the-shoulder sleeves.
For brides hoping to easily transition their wedding look from ceremony to reception, many of the dresses include removable tops, sleeves, skirts, and more. "Agate" is a strapless ball gown showcasing a lace bodice with exposed boning and silk taffeta skirt that can be paired with a removable high-neck, long-sleeve top, while "Ghita" is an A-line dress with a strapless bodice featuring exposed boning that can be accessorized with gloves or worn with a stunning open-shoulder, high-neck top.
