Vintage-Inspired Bridal Styles by Anne Barge for Fall 2017
Inspired by The Ziegfeld Follies of the 1920s, the Anne Barge fall 2017 collection embraces the style and playful nature of the time period with a modern twist. The new batch of bridal gowns feel reminiscent of a different time, as the Ziegfeld Follies were a group of chorus girls put together by Florenz Ziegfeld and his wife, Anna Held, to be an American version of the famed Folies Bergere of Paris. The gowns in the collection are vintage inspired and feature dramatic silhouettes, rich fabrics, and elaborate detailing.
Styles in the bridal line – featured at New York Bridal Fashion Week this season – range from dresses such as “Sadie,” a ballerina ball gown with a beaded bodice and a multi-layer tulle skirt, to “Mazie,” a lace trumpet gown with netted racer neckline and a high-low peplum overskirt. Brides will also swoon over “Olive,” a strapless gown with a plunging neckline, a sheer embroidered back, and a flowing chiffon skirt. To see these designs and more, scroll through the gallery above.
