Though many couples are on the hunt for a unique, quirky song that no one has featured in a wedding ceremony before, many others prefer a traditional take for the processional. It’s for the same reason that, despite more colorful gowns growing in popularity, the vast majority of brides still choose to don a white dress for the big day. After dreaming of the moment for so long, embracing tradition and choosing something classic can give power to the moment. Granted, it’s an institution that has changed and evolved (thankfully, with marriage open to all adults and dowries no longer necessary), but walking down the aisle or taking part in the recessional with your sweetheart to a song that’s been used for decades can be very meaningful and special to some couples.
