Summer is finally here! For some, the warmer months might mean it’s time to vacation with family or take a break from school. For others, it might be the ideal time for a significant event, such as exchanging “I dos.” The summer months usually book very quickly with weddings, and for very good reasons. See some of our favorite reasons why below.

The weather is perfect for the occasion. With the shining sun and higher temperatures, you won’t have to worry about unexpected weather that will delay flights or disrupt your special plans. You’ll have the ability to host your nuptials either indoors or outdoors – or a blend of both!
Daylight lasts much longer in this season. This is especially ideal if you want to host a later ceremony without the skies darkening too early, making wedding party or “first look” photography time frames shorter and potentially less stressful.
School is out for the summer. Whether it’s you, your spouse-to-be, or younger guests who are currently in school, summer is the perfect time to host your soirée and allow everyone to relax and enjoy each other’s company. Homework and exams will not be an issue and you can enjoy the occasion without any academic stress or the worry of meeting deadlines.
Most flowers are in season. Regardless if you want sunflowers, roses, or hydrangeas, almost all flowers are in season for the summer. If they aren’t available, there will be a plethora of options of lookalike blooms that will be available for your florist to work their magic.
Almost any color scheme will match the season. Whether you want black, white, or bright yellow, summertime calls for décor of all shades. Most summer weddings boast either a bright or light palette, but darker tones can beautifully offset a softer shade.
More guests are likely to attend. With school no longer in session and ideal vacation times during the summer, many loved ones will be able to attend your special occasion. However, you should be mindful that lots of people make travel plans during the summer, so notify your guests in advance – you don’t want them to make other vacation arrangements. Plus, they’ll have time to shop for the best deals to meet their personal budget needs.
It is ideal for the honeymoon. After the wedding festivities end, you’ll be secure in knowing that the weather should be just as lovely at whatever destination you jet off to with your new spouse!
