Seating is an important part of any wedding reception. Naturally, everyone needs a chair at their respective table during the meal, but once it’s time for dancing people may want to mingle a bit more. This is where a lounge area comes in. Yes, you want the dance floor filled, but everyone needs a break sometime. Spaces with armchairs and sofa are also greatly appreciated during cocktail hour, when people want to snack and chat but are not yet permitted to go to their seating assignments.
A lounge area works for any style of wedding reception, even if it’s outdoors! In fact, there is something that feels especially luxurious about seeing a nice white couch set up in the open air. Of course, an indoor or tented space also allows for additional accoutrements that can help create a wow factor for your big day.
