An Elaborate Proposal with Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant

The future groom asked Netflix to help with his surprise proposal.

Conor knew he was ready to propose, and like many other millennial couples, they watched Netflix during their first date. So, he planned a proposal with the stars of her favorite binge-worthy show.

After dating for almost six years, Conor knew he was ready to propose to Kamela. Like many other millennial couples, they watched Netflix during their first date. Conor decided to get the streaming service involved with a proposal Kamela will never forget. The cover story is that the couple was on a reality show to discuss their favorite program on the streaming service. Since Kamela loves Santa Clarita Diet, she and her sweetheart sat on the couch to watch a special featurette with Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant in character as Sheila and Joel on the show. 

Suddenly, Conor appears on the screen, saying he has a question – but it’s not for the characters. Sitting between the two stars, the hopeful groom-to-be says he will let his real-life self ask the question. Kamela is clearly in shock as Conor reaches behind him for the ring. “It’s been awesome being your boyfriend,” he says as he gets down on one knee, “but if you’re cool with it, I would rather be your husband.” Naturally, she exclaims, “of course!” and then the stars wish the happy couple congratulations from the screen. “Drew Barrymore said my name!” Kamela states, still in shock.
