After matching on a popular dating site, Tiffany Leigh and Steve Glinert went on their first date, sharing triple-chocolate cake for dessert at a 24-hour eatery. Though they're self-proclaimed opposites, the pair realized they also shared many similarities. They learned they had mutual friends, lived three doors down from one another during college, and more. "I attribute this all to a matter of timing and fate," Tiffany shares, as they met at the perfect time in both of their romantic lives. Nearly two years after their first date, Tiffany was in Chicago for a writing assignment and stayed for the weekend to soak up the culture. Though she invited her beau, he declined, but on the last day, he surprised her by showing up to the hotel. He had rented a private yacht for a picnic on the sea before asking his love to spend the rest of her life with him. "We spent the rest of the weekend in Chicago exploring the neighborhood, eating way too much deep-dish pizza," laughs the bride.

Nearly one month before their wedding, the couple decided to have an engagement shoot that showcased their love for Toronto, where they reside. The shoot took place at their favorite locations, including their first-date spot, the city's Yorkville neighborhood where Tiffany purchased her wedding gown, the Financial District where Steve works, and more. They also brought along "Pinchie The Lobster," a plush lobster they bought while on their first mini-vacation together in Boston that has become a part of their life and social media accounts. For the first shoot, the bride donned a rendition of a Qipao – traditional Chinese dress – and wore her bridal gown for the second day of shooting. "This was the first time in a long time where we simply stopped and soaked up the beauty of the city, the warm summer, and watching the world go by," shares Tiffany. "Complete strangers were complimenting us, wishing us well, and offering to snap photos. It just made me love our city and its kind people even more."
