Sought-after celebrity event planner Mindy Weiss is synonymous with luxury weddings due to her skill with combining fine details with glamour, sophistication, and innovative style. Mindy began her career in party planning more than twenty years ago by creating custom invitations for social events. Her clients recognized her creativity, and at their urging, she officially opened Mindy Weiss Party Consultants in 1992. The company continues to be a leader of trends, and has become known for its top-notch work with celebrities and high-profile clients worldwide, including Carmello Anthony and Lala Vasquez; Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck; and Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum.

How long have you been in your current profession? I started designing invitations at 24 and started event planning at 28.

What’s the most eccentric request you’ve received from a bride? A bride asked me to stay with her the night before her wedding so we could review the entire next day – minute by minute.

What’s your favorite aspect of a wedding? I'm honored to be hired to be apart of this special moment but I must say I love when the ceremony is complete and the bride and groom are married! The tension is released and then it's on to the party! I really do love the two words Mr. and Mrs. I find myself always buying vintage items that say those words.

What other industry would you be in if not this one? Interior Design.

Which famous wedding in history would you have most liked to be involved with and why? Prince William and Kate. I would have loved to have learned the process and protocol of a Royal Wedding. Plus… I was a great admirer of Princess Diana.
