Fashionable Invitations Inspired by the Runway

Iconic fashion brand Marchesa has collaborated with Wedding Paper Divas to offer a collection of wedding stationery inspired by the designer's latest gowns from the runway. Introduced at Bridal Market in New York City earlier this month, the eight-style collection of wedding invitations, save-the-dates, response cards, enclosure cards, thank-you notes, and more is sure to impress stylish brides and grooms, as well as their guests, for both intimate garden weddings and large formal affairs.

“When it comes to creating gowns, we’re always driven by the fabrics, accents, and the embellishments that we love – and we let our favorite pieces from our bridal and runway collections guide the design process for the Wedding Paper Divas stationery collection,” said Marchesa co-founders Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig. “We think the designs translate beautifully onto the printed page, and we’re so excited to make our mark in the stationery world.”

Influenced by the Petit Trianon gardens of Versailles, Marchesa's floral Resort 2014 gown inspired the colorful "Breathtaking Blossoms" invitation suite. Pastel purples and greens are mixed with accents of white for a chic, clean, and feminine look.

Modeled after a striking Spring 2014 evening gown by Marchesa, the dramatic “Night Blooms” stationery suite pairs ethereal handpainted watercolored flowers and gilded stems with a dark, seductive background to provide a purely romantic design.

Using sophisticated typography, fanciful florals, and hand-illustrated details, the “Artful Floral” stationery design evokes a timeless ambience inspired by a metallic dress from Marchesa’s Spring 2014 ready-to-wear collection.
