Jimmy Kimmel, David Spade & Celine Dion Surprised a Las Vegas Wedding!

Celine even performed a song for the newlyweds.

Some couples spend a small fortune to get a famous singer to perform at their wedding, but that wasn’t the case for Jason and Kate, two majors in the Air Force tying the knot in what started as an intimate ceremony.

Some couples spend a small fortune to get a famous singer to perform at their wedding, but that wasn’t the case for Jason and Kate, two majors in the Air Force tying the knot in what started as an intimate ceremony. While hosting his late night show for a week in his hometown of Las Vegas, Jimmy Kimmel informed his audience that there was a couple (Jason and Kate) exchanging vows in a chapel that is housed in the same hotel as the theater where Jimmy Kimmel Live! was currently filming. 

He then appears on a screen behind the bride and groom and asks to step in and preside over the ceremony. During the “speak now or forever hold your peace” portion, comedian and actor David Spade appears with a drink. Naturally, a comedic moment ensues, but the real magic begins after Kate and Jason say I do. Jimmy asks if they have hired a wedding singer, and when the newlyweds say no, Grammy award-winning legend Celine Dion enters the chapel and performs “Because You Loved Me” while the couple shares their first dance.
