“Bride of” Costumes

If you and your spouse-to-be are looking to go the more timeless route, a simple “monster and wife” ensemble will do the trick. This concept works for a variety of conventional beasts and horror elements, including Frankenstein, Dracula, and even the terrifying Chuckie doll. With one partner dressed as the fictional character – perhaps with the addition of a top hat or some other formal wedding accoutrement – and the other clothed in a white outfit and veil, the costume will be clear. As with each of the “bride” frocks noted in this list, you can substitute an old or inexpensive white dress for a store-bought costume.

Zombie Newlyweds

Find yourself with a little extra fake blood or ketchup lying around? Take some old attire – white dress, collared shirt, and pants – and let out your inner Jackson Pollock by smattering the clothes in red. Hopefully, it’s a far departure from how you’ve handled being a bride or groom thus far, and what a playful option!
