5 Useful Honeymoon Phrases in Different Languages

For those duos headed for certain countries wherein English is not the primary language after your big day, don’t spend too much time flipping through your pocket translation book! The language learning application Babbel.com provided us with five useful phrases for your honeymoon translated into French, Spanish, Italian, and German. Happy studying and happy traveling!

-  We’re actually on our honeymoon! If it’s not too much trouble we’d love be considered for seat upgrades if there are any better ones available?

French: Nous sommes en voyage de noces! Si par hasard il y a une possibilité de surclassement sur ce vol, nous serions bien sûr ravis d’en bénéficier. 

Spanish: ¡Estamos de luna de miel! Si no es mucha molestia y existe la posibilidad de cambiar nuestros asientos, nos gustaría poder viajar en primera clase.

Italian: Siamo in luna di miele! Saremmo felicissimi di viaggiare in prima classe o business class, se ci fossero posti liberi.

German: Wir sind gerade in den Flitterwochen. Wenn es nicht zu viele Umstände macht, würden wir uns sehr freuen, wenn es möglich wäre, Sitzplätze mit etwas mehr Komfort zu bekommen.

-  Thank you for such a warm welcome. We’re here on our honeymoon and were wondering if you had any complimentary room upgrades?

French: Merci pour ce chaleureux accueil. Nous sommes en voyage de noces et nous nous demandions si vous aviez des offres spéciales pour les lunes de miel? 

Spanish: Muchas gracias por su cálida bienvenida. Estamos de viaje de novios y nos gustaría saber si es posible cambiar de habitación. ¿Dispone de ofertas especiales para recién casados?

Italian: Grazie per il caloroso benvenuto. Siamo in luna di miele e ci stavamo chiedendo se ci fossero camere speciali in offerta per coppie appena sposate. 

German: Vielen Dank für Ihren herzlichen Empfang. Wir sind gerade in unseren Flitterwochen und möchten fragen, ob Sie vielleicht ein Angebot für ein besonderes Zimmer hätten.

-  Would it be possible for us to have our breakfast sent up to the room during our stay? We just got married and wanted to relax in our room.

French: Serait-il possible de faire monter le petit-déjeuner dans notre chambre pendant notre séjour? Nous venons juste de nous marier et aimerions nous y détendre. 

Spanish: ¿Sería posible recibir el desayuno en la habitación durante nuestra estancia? ¡Nos acabamos de casar y nos gustaría relajarnos en nuestra habitación!

Italian: È possibile fare colazione in camera durante il soggiorno? Ci siamo appena sposati e vorremmo rilassarci in camera nostra!

German: Wäre es möglich, Frühstück auf unser Zimmer zu bestellen, während wir hier sind? Wir sind frisch verheiratet und möchten uns gerne in unserem Zimmer entspannen.

-  We’ve had the most wonderful stay so far. We’d love to make use of your spa, do you have any newlywed deals on your spa packages?

French: Nous avons passé une journée magnifique jusqu’ici. Nous aimerions essayer votre spa. Est-ce que vous avez des forfaits spéciaux “jeunes mariés”?  

Spanish: Estamos disfrutando de una estancia muy agradable. Nos gustaría usar las instalaciones de su balneario. ¿Disponen de algunas ofertas para recién casados?

Italian: Il soggiorno è stato incantevole finora. Ci piacerebbe usare la spa, ci sono offerte speciali per coppie in luna di miele?

German: Wir genießen unseren Aufenthalt sehr. Wir würden gerne Ihr Spa nutzen und wollten fragen, ob Sie vielleicht ein besonderes Flitterwochenangebot hätten.

-  We’re on our honeymoon, and this restaurant was recommended to us. We really wanted to make the most of that stunning view, what’s the best table you can offer us this evening?

French: Nous sommes en voyage de noces, et quelqu’un nous a recommandé ce restaurant. Nous aimerions vraiment profiter de cette vue magnifique. Quelle est la meilleure table disponible ce soir ?

Spanish: Estamos de luna de miel y nos recomendaron este restaurante. Nos gustaría disfrutar de estas vistas maravillosas. ¿Cuál es la mejor mesa que está disponible?

Italian: Siamo in luna di miele e ci hanno consigliato questo ristorante. Vorremmo trascorrere una serata speciale ammirando il panorama, potrebbe farci sedere al tavolo migliore? 

German: Wir sind gerade in den Flitterwochen und kommen auf Empfehlung zu Ihnen. Wir wollten fragen, ob Sie einen Tisch frei hätten, um diese wunderschöne Aussicht besonders genießen zu können.
