Congratulations are in order for actress and singer Briana Cuoco and her fiancé Brian Logan Dales, lead singer of The Summer Set, who are on the road to “I do!” Earlier this month, actress Kaley Cuoco was thrilled to host her sister’s moody, romantic bridal shower in Los Angeles.
“Honestly, Bri does so much for all her family and friends, always attending and planning parties, birthdays, weddings, showers, and everything in between,” Kaley Cuoco shares. “It was pure joy to be able to create something just for her finally. That was the best part!” When asked how she decided on the theme for her sister’s bridal shower, Kaley confirms, “I can safely say I did not decide on the vision at all,” she laughs. “My sister was in full control of what she wanted. She had a very, very, very clear vision, so me and the team just brought it to life!”
Alongside planner Kaylen Davidson of Sara Judith Events, the Cuoco sisters created the most magical nontraditional bridal shower filled with glamorous décor and endless love. “The most important thing to me is quality time with the people I love the most and who have been such supports around me,” the bride-to-be adds of her dearest loved ones, including celebrity guests Lacey Chabert, Kimberly J. Brown, Ashley Jones, and Amy Davidson. “When I was first talking about the shower with Kaylen and my sister, I said all I wanted was an evening with great food, great drinks, great conversation, and spending time with one another,” Bri notes.
“I was overwhelmed with gratitude and joy, and still am every time I think about it!”
Though bridal showers are traditionally celebrated during the day with brunch, Bri knew from the start that she wanted something entirely different that fit her personality perfectly. “I wanted it candlelit, moody, and at night – and no games,” she smiles of the vision for the celebration that took place in the Red Room at Catch Steak LA. “Everyone knows my house is basically only ever lit by candles, so the candle-filled stairway entrance and tables stole my heart and screamed Bri.”
“The highlight of the shower was seeing Bri round the corner and witness the staircase full of candles for the first time,” Kaley Cuoco remembers of her sister’s grand entrance. “It was the prettiest thing I had ever seen and her reaction was priceless!” Bri adds, “Walking up the candlelit stairs, seeing the ‘Future Mrs. Dales’ sign, and not believing that this was actually my bridal shower was such a surreal moment. I walked into the room, and my sweet sister had everyone standing waiting for me.”
Prior to the elegant dinner, friends and family enjoyed a cocktail hour complete with passed hors d’oeuvres including tuna-tartar tacos, NYC burger bites, crispy potato croquettes, and avocado on crispy rice. Guests then savored a delectable first course: the restaurant’s signature Catch roll, pretzel bread, and local burrata, “which was divine,” Bri affirms. “For the main, I’m a vegetarian, but I knew we needed to have the meat for guests since we were at a steakhouse, so along with a salmon main, we had their truffle-butter filet, which I was told by so many was the best piece of meat they’d ever had!” Other favorites included grilled asparagus and waffle fries, as well as homemade ice cream and a gluten-free cake.
The bride-to-be was overjoyed with the outcome of her bridal shower that was perfectly her: “nighttime, moody, romantic, and candlelit,” she describes of the overall vibe for the memorable evening. “I was overwhelmed with gratitude and joy, and still am every time I think about it!”
