In this styled shoot, Michelle Durpetti of Michelle Durpetti Events and her colleagues wanted to capture the romance, elegance, and celebratory nature of wedding receptions. The team drew inspiration from sultry Inbal Dror bridal gowns, the venue, and the opulent approach of Kesh Events.
The posh ballroom at The Estate by Gene & Georgetti boasted modern square chandeliers and black carpeting with a light burst pattern. Set against soft grey draping, charming floral panels composed of white hydrangeas as well as pink and buttercream roses surrounded sophisticated steel and mirrored stands filled with floating candles behind the head table.
Metallic linens offered a lavish canvas for tablescapes. Silver candelabra and stemmed mercury-glass candleholders were interspersed with petite arrangements of vanilla and blush roses, alabaster hydrangeas and snapdragons, and orchids along the center of the head table. Loved ones also found antique key wedding favors. Tall silver vases brimming with vanilla roses, hydrangeas, and orchids adorned round guest tables. Shell finish chargers, dinner plates with a festive scene, plates showcasing ornate golden rims, and shell dessert plates composed distinctive place settings. Wine and water glasses with elegant silver rims were used throughout. Ebony elements were added with goblets at the head table, satin napkins at guest tables, and sleek Ghost chairs.
The bride was beautiful in a fit-and-flare gown – discovered at Dimitra’s Bridal Couture – with lace accents. Adding a bit of drama, a tulle cape encircled her shoulders and cascaded to the floor. Her blonde locks were gathered in a graceful braided coiffure. She accessorized with sparkling chandelier earrings, a delicate diamond wedding band, and dazzling engagement ring featuring a pear-cut diamond with a halo and diamond shank. Fit for the scene, the stylish groom donned a smoking jacket with purple brocade and a chocolate bow tie with a blue diamond pattern. Fashionable guests were equally runway ready in designer ensembles.
The celebration wouldn’t be complete without a tempting confection. The contemporary four-layer cake showcased a shimmery silver finish, a keyhole motif against a tufted design framed in scrolls, and antique key embellishments at the base and top. Ruby roses hinted at its decadent flavor – red velvet.
