Christy Painter served as her own bridal consultant to ensure her vision for her September 11, 2010 nuptials to Chad Smalley would be executed flawlessly. The elegant and spirited affair took place at Walnut Hill Farm, a private estate in Dalton, GA.
The bride carried a bouquet of off-white roses as she walked down an aisle decorated with swirls of matching flower petals during her outdoor ceremony. Floral arrangements in russet tones rested in clear vases that hung from shepherd's hooks on either side of the aisle, hinting at the impending fall season. The bride and groom were framed on either side by billowing white curtains tied back theatre-style as they exchanged vows beneath a canopy of flowers in similar rich autumn hues.
The dinner and reception that followed took place inside the Hill Top Barn. White curtains were woven in and out of the metallic white ceiling beams. Towering centerpieces in clear glass vases featured arrangements that continued the subtle fall color scheme, while branches and cascading greenery were added for extra height and texture. The couple's wedding cake was an exquisite four-tiered confection that featured white-on-white applique and sugar flowers. At the conclusion of the event, guests waved sparklers to celebrate as the newlyweds departed in a classic white automobile.
