A glamorous evening with organic design elements was created for a lavish wedding at a private residence in Oklahoma City. Leaning into the mismatched bridesmaid trend, each woman carried a different bouquet – some yellow, some peach, all featuring succulent accents. The bride, donning a classic A-line gown, carried a bouquet of phalaenopsis orchids with dendrobium orchids cascading down. An adorable baby flower girl was transported down the aisle in a wooden wagon accented with desert foliage, such as air plants and succulents. “The couple said their vows on a custom floating surface surrounded by a flowing Lucite structure dripping with orchids, giving the illusion of waterfalls,” shares the design team.
The tented reception featured gold Chiavari chairs with matching sequin linens. Treelike centerpieces were composed of grapewood and adorned with succulents, air plants, and phalaenopsis orchids. The sweetheart table had a mirror backdrop surrounded by a wall of manzanita branches and grapewood, as well as lush flowers and greenery. The tent itself was lined with fairy lights, and the ceiling was adorned with floral chandeliers featuring orchids, calla lilies, and moss.
Five layers of wedding cake were accented with flowers and succulents to keep with the "organic elegance" theme. Even more dramatic was the display – a disc with more blossoms suspended over the dance floor, which was a Lucite surface built over a pool. Additionally, the pool at the venue was turned into a floating garden, with branches and orchids lining the surface.
