When planning the details of this styled oceanside wedding at Andaz Mayakoba photographed by Collin Pierson Photography, Michelle Durpetti of Michelle Durpetti Events and the Kesh Events team knew they wanted to showcase something a little different. Rather than sticking to a traditional and soft color palette as is common with seaside soirées, they decided to embrace deeper jewel tones to further complement the chic and romantic look that they were aiming for when developing the décor.
To further accentuate the overall aesthetic, the overall design scheme showcased a beach-friendly ambience accessorized with cool details that were shown in the bride’s lush and luxurious bouquet, the ceremony arch, and in other elements throughout the space. Bold and romantic florals by Canteiro Weddings enriched the décor and further accented the gorgeous view of the ocean right behind. Varying hues of deep berry, purples, and pinks were mixed in with hints of soft brown and white to create a truly captivating space for the couple and guests to enjoy throughout the celebration. Other elements that enriched the desired look included slices of rose quartz with each guest’s name in calligraphy were used as place cards and gorgeously paired with jewel-toned glassware and napkins, as well as stationery by Smitten Boutique.
Matching the versatility of the colors and details of the styled wedding shot, both the bride and groom had outfit changes intended to wow guests. “I loved the groom's look with the rose jacket and his outfit change of emerald green!” shares Michelle. “The bride’s first look gave me lots of mermaid vibes, and her second look was right off the Valentini runway and included pants.” Providing perfect contrast, both bride and groom radiated and matched the look of the styled celebration.
