Growing up together in Monroe, Louisiana, Ainsley Scott Anderson and Vincent Charles Herlevic became best friends and eventually lovebirds. Vincent later proposed to his sweetheart at his childhood home, which also happens to be in Monroe. Since this Southern town holds such special meaning to the couple, it was the perfect place for them to wed.

The pair exchanged vows on New Year’s Eve at the same country club where Ainsley’s parents said their I dos. Considering her mother’s favorite flower and desire for her daughter to get married on the holiday, Ainsley wanted to showcase both of her mother's wishes. “The white rose was my fabulous mother Rosemary’s all-time favorite flower. In memory of her, I wanted them everywhere,” Ainsley describes. White, ivory, and gold hues highlighted the holiday throughout the décor. The sentimental ceremony honored the bride’s mother as Ainsley walked down the aisle in her beautiful gown from Kleinfeld Bridal holding a white rose bouquet that featured a locket showcasing a picture of her mother. “My college roommate, who loved my mother, read a personalized prayer written by me. She formally dedicated the white roses in the ceremony and reception in memory of her,” she recalls.

During the reception, the New Year's Eve holiday was highlighted with blow horns, silver and gold party hats, and a confetti-filled countdown to 2017. The party continued as attendees had their portraits drawn by a caricature artist and later took home their unique favors. After the countdown, the couple spent a moment alone together and watched their guests react to the incredible firework show. “We could see their faces light up as the fireworks exploded above. At that moment, we were excited to celebrate the upcoming year and many more to come,” remembers Ainsley. The newly married couple began the New Year by riding off in an elegant Rolls-Royce with firework fountains lighting their way.

Ainsley shares the best advice she received with everyone else who is currently planning his or her dream wedding: “Take things one day at a time and try not to get overwhelmed. Soak in every single second of it because it is over before you know it!”
