If you tuned in to last night’s coverage of the 2016 Emmy Awards, you were likely dazzled by the stars of your favorite TV shows, the heartfelt speeches, the funny moments, and, of course, the fashion. If award shows are best known for anything, it’s the sheer number of talented actors and actresses donning chic, interesting ensembles, walking the red carpet.
This year, we saw many amazing fashion moments – many leading ladies wore white, and more than a few outfits could be used as bridal inspiration for the coming year. Browse the gallery below to discover wedding dress look-alikes for some of your favorite Emmy nominees and winners.
Connie Britton
Emmy Rossum
Shameless star Emmy Rossum went the simple-but-sexy route with a white Wes Gordon dress, including a plunging neckline and a high slit in the skirt. We selected a sleek gown by Isabelle Armstrong in the same shade as inspiration for the uncomplicated bride. Photo courtesy of Isabelle Armstrong
Giuliana Rancic
One of our favorite TV personalities wore a stunning Georges Chakra gown in a light blush hue with a plethora of illusion details, appliqués, and a lengthy cape. Her gown reminded us of Monique Lhuillier’s style, especially this particular gown, with features the same sweetheart neckline, sheer material, light embellishments, and cape add-on. Julie Bowen
As one of the stars of Modern Family, Julie Bowen always looks classic and sophisticated on the red carpet, and this stylish white outfit by Lela Rose with a high neckline and ruched back is no exception. We believe this Delphine Manivet gown, showcasing the same A-line silhouette, color, and neckline does the actress’ look justice. Photo courtesy by Delphine Manivet
Kristen Bell
Talk about a showstopper! Playing the lead character in the new show The Good Place, the star truly made a statement in a multi-colored Zuhair Murad ball gown with painted scenery in the skirt. This Romona Keveza dress includes the same full skirt and a plunging neckline, as well as the colorful detailing of Kristen’s fairy-tale ensemble. Photo courtesy of Romona Keveža
Laverne Cox
The Orange is the New Black star turned heads in this daring, shimmering gold Naeem Khan gown with an illusion skirt, plunging neckline, and metallic details and embellishments. Bridal-wise, this fanciful Mira Zwillinger dress is admittedly more or less Art Deco-inspired, but features similar details, such as her illusion skirt and neckline. Photo courtesy of Mira Zwillinger
Padma Lakshmi
The host of Top Chef wowed in her all-sparkle, full-coverage, close-fitting gown. This THEIA gown – from their line of bridesmaid dresses – showcases the same sequined look with a similar silhouette, while also fitting close to the body and hugging every curve. Photo courtesy of THEIA
Regina King
American Crime actress Regina King sported this striking red Elizabeth Kennedy gown with a simple, chic silhouette and a dramatic train. The Liancarlo dress sports a similar simplicity and bodice design, but swaps out Regina’s train for a trumpet-style skirt. Photo courtesy of Liancarlo
Sofía Vergara
When does Sofía Vergara not look fabulous? The Modern Family actress donned a classic white one-shoulder Versace dress with silver beading. Isabelle Armstrong created a similar gown, also featuring the one-shoulder and fitted looks as well as the intricate embellishments of Sofía’s gown. Photo courtesy of Isabelle Armstrong
Tina Fey
Comedian, writer, and all-around super star Tina Fey selected an Oscar de la Renta gown in a bold emerald shade to grace the red carpet. Though we love the color, we believe that this Claire Pettibone dress featuring a similar bodice and classic silhouette makes the look “bridal.” Photo courtesy of Claire Pettibone
