To help provide inspiration, we've collected a number of gowns from the recent spring 2019 collections shown at Bridal Fashion Week last April!
Though we will likely see many couples take inspiration from multiple aspects of the recent royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the bridal gown worn by the Duchess of Sussex is sure to set the tone for more elegant, minimalist wedding dresses in future nuptials. The beautiful Givenchy gown designed by Clare Weight Keller – the first female artistic director for the French fashion house – epitomized timeless, minimal elegance. The understated style was fitting for the traditional occasion and showcased a bateau neckline, three-quarter sleeves, and a sleek silhouette in double-bonded silk cady.
Whether you loved Meghan's gown or preferred the dress worn by Kate Middleton when she married Prince William, there are a number of design elements from the understated look that we feel will become more apparent in future weddings. If you're still searching for your dream wedding dress and want to take inspiration from Meghan Markle's bridal gown without completely replicating the entire look, we suggest choosing a style that features either a bateau neckline, minimalist design, silk material, or three-quarter-length (or longer) sleeves.
To help provide inspiration, we've collected a number of gowns from the recent spring 2019 collections shown at Bridal Fashion Week last April! Though they're not all in stores yet, you may be able to see these dresses at designer trunk shows.
