“We caught each other’s eye, took some tequila shots, and the rest is history,” laughs Caroline DiPietra of the night she first met Austin Davidson in college. Before long, the pair got engaged at the home of Caroline’s grandparents in Palm Beach, Florida. “My sisters made me believe we were going down to the beach to take some pre-dinner photos, and all of a sudden, Austin was down on one knee!” Caroline remembers of the special moment surrounded by their families.

The bride worked closely with her mom and wedding planner Ashley to organize the details of their picture-perfect day at a country club in their hometown of Columbus, Ohio. Desiring a black-tie wedding showcasing a lush garden theme, the couple was dressed to impress. Caroline was gorgeous in an off-the-shoulder gown, while Austin donned a dapper tuxedo for soirée.

Prior to the ceremony, the couple had a first look where they read private vows to one another during a quiet, intimate moment just the two of them. Later, they were married alfresco beneath a lush chuppah comprised of baby’s breath in a ceremony officiated by the bride’s uncle that incorporated traditions from both their Jewish and Christian faiths, such as the breaking of the glass as well as readings from both the Old and New Testaments. Once they said “I do,” the new Mr. and Mrs. recessed up the aisle as loved one tossed flower petals in celebration.

“From a signature cocktail that was a nod to the college bar where we met, to the nonstop dancing... the energy of the night overflowed with joy.”

An elegant outdoor cocktail hour ensued, with attendees sipping bubbly from individual splits or enjoying one of the three signature cocktails: his, hers, and theirs. Friends and family found their table assignments on an acrylic seating chart outside of the gorgeous sailcloth tent, which was beautifully arranged in a wooded setting on property. Florals and candles decorated the entrance to the space, and the arrangements only got more impressive once attendees entered the tent.

Round and rectangular tablescapes showcased high and low arrangements of blooms in shades of white accented with blush blossoms and fresh greenery, which also appeared overhead. Each guest’s place setting highlighted a sprig of verdure, and golden flatware and floating candles helped to bring a warm feeling to the large space. The newlyweds were surrounded by family at the head table as they listened to memorable toasts, and later danced the night away with their nearest and dearest after their first dance to “The One” by John Adams and Matt Johnson

“The weekend overflowed with love, laughter, and happy tears,” smiles Caroline of their perfect day that honored their love story from the very beginning. “From a signature cocktail that was a nod to the college bar where we met, to the nonstop dancing, and the cheeseburgers, fries, and boozy shakes for late-night bites, the energy of the night overflowed with joy.”
