Inspired by a theme titled “Moroccan Riad,” Seattle wedding planner Tamara Nicole worked with a team of vendors to showcase this look in her latest styled wedding shoot. “We loved creating using this vibe to showcase different ideas and colors for couples to use as inspiration. There are just so many fun colors, textures, and details within the Moroccan theme!” she tells.
Experimenting with an array of hues, they designed a palette of blue, green, gold, and neutral tones. “The first vignette is the indigo and teal lounge area we placed by the large floor-to-ceiling windows,” Tamara says. The invitation suite showcased this palette while simultaneously embracing the Moroccan feel, with the invitation mimicking the Moroccan-style doors in 3D form, and a tassel pulled the invite out of the box. Orchids, tropical greenery, and gold leaves beautifully complemented the rich colors of the design. “With furniture and décor in the indigos and teals, we created a welcoming lounge area with trees and flowers to bring in the riad vibes,” Tamara shares. The second design showcased walnut and gold details with geometric elements, coordinating menus in line with the theme, and elegant centerpieces with orchids, protea blooms, and tropical greens.
In addition to the gorgeous décor, the design team also desired a glamorous bridal design. “Overall, we wanted this to have a high-fashion luxe vibe. The fashion and style reflected this.” The model bride posed in a few intricate gowns that paired with her smokey eye makeup and edgy jewelry. “The rings were very ornate as well to coordinate,” says the planner. The bride held a lush bouquet of neutral-toned blooms and greenery to offset the boldness of the look. The same neutral aesthetic carried over into the third vignette of the shoot. “I wanted to do a very lush low table with pouf and pillows for guests to sit on — a wow-factor table!” Tamara explains. “We chose a muted pink rose color, along with pops of terracotta, to go along with the whites and tropical greens.” It also featured lotus blossom candles and glassware for an extra touch of glamour.
“We are so excited to share this inspiration with couples, and had the best time designing each and every detail!” she says. Take a look at the inspirational photos above for your own celebration or pre-wedding event such as a bridal shower or engagement party!
